Please contact us by phone (573-256-0130) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let us know that you have an inbound transfer. This allows us to get your contact information and information on the transfer so that we can process it as quickly as possible once it arrives. Failure to contact us prior to the transfer coming in could delay this process. Our transfer fee is $25, and $10 for each additional firearm that’s being transferred to you at the same time as the first. When it’s time to pick it up, please make sure to come in BEFORE 5:30pm to begin the paperwork. We will not begin transfer 4473s after 5:30.
A “black rifle” is typically a rifle patterned from the AR-15. It got it’s name from people that demonized it by thinking that military style rifles looked like “evil black rifles.”
NO! An AR-15 is merely a semi-automatic rifle that shares common characteristics with military rifles. This pattern was named such after “Armalite Rifle.” The DoD defines an Assault Rifle as “a fully automatic rifle for military use.”
A semi-automatic firearm only fires one round per trigger pull.
A fully-automatic firearm can fire multiple rounds per trigger pull.
In order to purchase a firearm from a FFL (Federal Firearm License) holder, you need to be at least 18 years old to purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun), and 21 to purchase a handgun or “other” firearm.
An “other” firearm is a firearm that does not fall withing the parameters of a long gun or handgun. These are most commonly receivers, or NFA products like Short Barrel Rifles and Silencers. The reason that you need to be 21 to purchase a receiver is because it could be built into a pistol, which would require you to be 21 to purchase. NFA items are governed by the NFA branch of the BATFE, and require the age to be 21.
Once you have picked out your firearm:
-You will need to complete a Form 4473
-You will need to have a valid state issued photo ID with current address
-If your address is not current, you can provide alternate documentation with a current address, as long as it’s issued by a government agency
-After completing the Form 4473, a background check will be done through the NICS system
-Upon receipt of a “Proceed”, you may pay for your firearm and enjoy!
The NICS system will give us one of three answers when we conduct the background check.
-Proceed: We can transfer the firearm to you
-Denied: We cannot transfer the firearm to you
-Delayed: If we don’t don’t receive further information, we can transfer the firearm after 3 business days. If we get a response in that time, we follow what the response is
There are various reasons as to why someone would get delayed or denied. They do not share that information with us. If you get denied, and believe it to be an error, you can appeal the decision.
Firearms may only be shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL Holder). Actual buyer must pick up from FFL dealer who will conduct the background check. Some listed items may not be legal in every state. We will not sell firearms to residents of CA or NY. Buyer assumes responsibility of knowing purchase laws in their state. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a rifle, and 21 years of age to purchase a handgun or receiver. A Black Rifle Representative will contact you after your order has been placed to facilitate the transfer. All firearm sales are final. NO RETURNS. Return to manufacturer for warranty service.
